It is your responsibility, and a condition of your booking with The Wave Diving Center, that you ensure you have purchased comprehensive dive and travel insurance specific to your booking.
You are responsible to check that your insurance includes, at minimum, the following coverage:
Dive Injury Insurance
Your policy must cover all potential risks related to scuba diving, including:
- Recompression chamber treatment.
- Emergency medical expenses.
- Air evacuation and ambulance transfer.

- Loss or damage to personal diving equipment.
This coverage must explicitly include all scuba diving or water sports activities you plan to undertake.

Your insurance must also include:

General Behaviour & Diving Conduct
Respectful Behaviour
At The Wave Diving Center, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all our guests, staff, and boat crews.
We do not tolerate any form of aggressive, disrespectful, or antisocial behaviour.
Anyone who:
- Fails to follow our rules
- Causes disruption
- Acts disrespectfully toward others …may be asked to leave or be removed from the dive center or boat without a refund for any booked services.
Alcohol and Fitness to Dive
Diving under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. Alcohol impairs judgment and significantly increases the risk of decompression sickness.
Divers who appear under the influence of alcohol or suffering from a hangover will be refused entry into the water.
Our guides reserve the right to deny participation if they believe you are unfit to dive for any reason.
Environmental Responsibility
We take marine conservation seriously and operate under a strict “No Touch” policy.
Damaging or disturbing marine life, coral reefs, or breaking National Park rules will result in your dive being immediately terminated without a refund.
Certified Divers – Responsibility and Briefings
Our dive guides will always deliver a detailed dive briefing before every dive, including site information, safety procedures, and environmental reminders.
While underwater, the guide’s role is to navigate the dive site and point out marine life, not to provide instruction or supervision.
As a certified diver, you are fully responsible for:
- Your own and your buddy’s safety.
- Planning your dive and diving your plan.
- Monitoring your depth, air, and no-decompression limits using dive tables or a dive computer.
- Beginning, conducting, and completing your dive with your buddy.
