If you’ve ever looked down into the blue and wondered what lies beyond, the PADI Deep Diver course is your gateway to discovering it. Designed for certified divers ready to explore deeper waters, it gives you the knowledge and skills to safely dive to a maximum depth of 40 metres (130 feet).
Over 2 days and 4 training dives you’ll master deep dive planning, gas management, nitrogen narcosis awareness and emergency procedures — guided by a PADI-certified instructor with a maximum of 4 students.

What you’ll learn
Deep Dive Planning
Plan deep dives with computers and tables—managing bottom time, gas supply and no-decompression limits—and understand how depth and nitrogen affect your body, including gas narcosis and oxygen toxicity.
Narcosis & Buoyancy
Learn to recognise and manage nitrogen narcosis, minimise risk, and hold precise buoyancy control at depth so every dive stays calm, safe and enjoyable.
Safety & Backup Systems
Practise using redundant air sources, reels and DSMBs, plus team protocols, emergency procedures and controlled ascents with safety stops for confident, self-reliant deep diving.
Your 2 days
Into the Deep
Your first two dives introduce deep diving: descent techniques, gas management and dive planning, then managing nitrogen narcosis and using your backup equipment.
Skills & Certification
Practise deep navigation, buddy communication and emergency procedures, then problem-solving at depth, safety-stop strategies and air-sharing ascents to earn your certification.
