The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course is perfect for divers who want to capture the incredible world beneath the waves. You’ll learn to take beautiful underwater imagery with a digital camera, covering both foundational and advanced techniques suited to the underwater environment.

Over 1 day and 2 dives you’ll master camera settings, natural light and strobes, composition and editing — whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced photographer — guided by a PADI-certified instructor with a maximum of 2 students.

What you’ll learn

Camera Setup & Settings

Configure your camera for the underwater world—aperture, shutter speed and white balance—and learn how to control focus, exposure and image clarity for sharp, colourful shots.

Lighting & Composition

Discover the importance of natural light and how to use a strobe or flash effectively, then compose your images with framing, angles and subject highlighting that make every photo stand out.

Editing & Two Dives

Apply everything on two open water dives in the Red Sea, then finish your images with post-processing—colour correction and simple editing—so you leave with photos you’re proud to share.

Who can take the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course?
You need to be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or higher). It’s the perfect specialty for any certified diver who wants to start capturing the underwater world.
Do I need any photography experience?
No prior photography background is needed. The course starts with the basics and suits everyone from complete beginners to experienced photographers who want to adapt their skills to underwater conditions.
Do I need to bring my own camera?
No — you don’t have to own a camera. You’re welcome to bring your own, and we also have cameras available to rent so you can complete the course with the right gear.
Can I use a GoPro or action camera?
Yes — GoPros and similar action cameras are perfectly fine for the course, and we’ll show you how to get the best results from whatever camera you use.
Do you offer hotel pick-up?
Yes — we offer a door-to-door pick-up service from any hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date, especially in peak season. We also accept last-minute bookings depending on availability — contact us anytime to check for open slots!
When will I receive my pick-up time?
