Ras Mohammed National Park
Egypt’s first national park and the crown jewel of Red Sea diving — sheer walls, big fish and world-class visibility, just south of Sharm.
A protected marine wonderland
Just south of Sharm El Sheikh, Ras Mohammed is Egypt’s first national park — a raw, undeveloped headland where the reef drops into deep blue water. Nutrient-rich currents feed steep walls, coral gardens, sandy plateaus and canyons, drawing barracuda, tuna, Napoleon wrasse and seasonal sharks in world-class visibility. These are the park’s signature dive sites.
The dive sites
Shark & Yolanda Reef
5–40+ mOne of the most iconic dives in the Red Sea, with dramatic underwater topography — vertical walls, strong currents and the scattered remains of the Yolanda wreck. Best for experienced divers chasing drift diving and big-fish action.

Ras Ghozlani
5–25 mA peaceful site with some of the park’s most pristine corals at its northern edge — lush formations on a gently sloping reef. Suitable for beginner to advanced divers.

Jackfish Alley
5–30 mFamous for two swim-throughs at 5 and 15 metres and a sandy plateau dotted with bluespotted rays. Great fun for intermediate to advanced divers.

Eel Garden
5–30 mThousands of garden eels sway above the sandy seabed in the current. A relaxed, beautiful dive suitable for all experience levels.

Shark Observatory
15–50+ mA sheer vertical wall plunging into the abyss, with strong currents and serious pelagic action. Reserved for advanced divers.

Ras Za’tar
10–30 mA steep coral wall in the park’s north starting from 10 metres, cloaked in vibrant hard and soft corals with exceptional visibility. Best for intermediate to experienced divers.
